Product Description
Its an anti-shoplifting system made up of security tags or labels attached to items, and detection antennas (pedestals) placed at store exits. If someone tries to leave with an unpaid tagged item, the system sets off an alarm.
---
How it Works:
1. Tags/Labels:
Attached to products.
Can be hard tags (for clothes, electronics) or soft labels (for packaged goods, books).
2. Detectors (Antennas/Pedestals):
Placed at store exits.
Create a surveillance zone by emitting a specific radio frequency or electromagnetic field.
3. Deactivators/Detachers:
At billing counters.
Deactivates or removes the security tags once an item is paid for.
4. Alarm Trigger:
If an active (non-deactivated) tag passes through the detectors, the system triggers a sound/light alarm.

Types of EAS Technologies:
RF (Radio Frequency) Common in supermarkets and clothing stores.
AM (Acousto-Magnetic) Used in malls and stores with wide exit gates.
